Goodwill I.T. is seeking two Web Application Developers (PHP/LAMP)

Goodwill Industries Manasota, Information Technology is seeking TWO full-time LAMP Developers! This position is full-time and has complete benefits, including Paid Time Off, Health, Dental and Vision!
The first position is for a specialized Point-of-Sale integrated sales reporting system where you will evaluate our current system, and working with the team here, design, develop and implement a new version.
The second position is for the maintenance and development of our greater company Intranet systems; including Purchasing Systems, Scheduling, work order ticketing, helpdesk, company events, Document storage and generalized information.
You will be required to understand and implement integration with existing commercial products, such as ABRA HRMS, MAS200 (Accounting software), Raisers Edge, etc.
You will also be required to understand and implement integration with our Point-of-Sale systems.
You will be expected to provide customer service and support for the systems you maintain and develop when necessary. You must have good interpersonal skills and be able to explain technical jargon in a “plain-English” kind of way, while showing respect and remaining polite and courteous at all times!
SKILLS:
* PHP 5 O-O programming. You should be keeping current with new PHP updates and features.
* Knowledge and experience developing with ORM database systems. We utilize Propel (http://propel.phpdb.org) for larger applications and you will be expected to be able to hit the ground running.
* MySQL 5, InnoDB, T-SQL. Able to create database structures and understand relational design principles, constraints and general optimization. Able to use MySQL tools or PHP MyAdmin.
* Able to pick up existing code and learn/rework it. Being able to criticize existing code or provide suggestions for better methods of implementation is expected, especially if it results in better performance!
* Experience using SVN/Trac or similar revision control system. Being in a team, you will some times be working jointly on projects, thus this is a critical requirement.
* Complete understanding of HTML Standards, CSS and how to create semantically proper HTML templates. You will be responsible for our web site design as well as the interface to your own applications, so good HTML/CSS skills are a must.
* Able to work with a team and be productive, offer useful ideas to the team and find creative ways to solve certain problems as simple as possible.
* Recognize certain design principles such as DRY, KISS.
* Able to provide solid work history of 2 years as a web-based application developer.
HELPFUL, BUT NOT REQUIRED:
* Fusebox 5 PHP framework - you must be familiar with it.
* Knowledge of Perl, shell scripting, sed/awk are extremely beneficial.
* You should know who Zed Shaw is.
