Supported JobsPlus
Helps individuals with physical or developmental disabilities gain positive personal and workplace behaviors and skills while earning a paycheck at Goodwill. The program features workplace accommodations and access to job coaches and mentors who offer employment, family, and personal counseling to participants.
GoodwillWorks!
Provides jobs and vocational training to people with barriers to employment, including former welfare recipients, single mothers, recent immigrants, high school dropouts and individuals with a history of chronic unemployment, incarceration or substance abuse. GoodwillWorks! helps individuals earn a paycheck, build a strong work history, and develop a launching pad for higher-paying jobs outside Goodwill. The program offers participants assessment, training, access to mentors, and a variety of formal training opportunities such as GED and ESOL classes, Technical School, college and university educations.
GoodPartner Coach Program
Provides mentoring/coaching services to all Goodwill team members. Services include job-related coaching, comprehensive assessment of family needs and goals; and assistance and mentorship with reaching those goals.
Job Connection
Provides free job-placement services to individuals seeking community-based jobs. Helps participants assess their career goals, prepare strong resumes and cover letters, identify prospective employers and conduct successful job interviews.
GoodNeighbor Connection
Each of Goodwill's 34 GoodNeighbor centers provides human-service programs designed to meet the specific needs of the local residents, often through strategic alliances between Goodwill and other organizations. We also offer information and referral services to everyone who seeks assistance.
GoodHomes
Helps families who achieve mortgage pre-approval purchase Goodwill-built, Goodwill-renovated and other affordable homes. Buyers who meet certain income eligibility criteria may qualify for up to $75,000 in down payment assistance.
HomeBuyer's Club
Prepares individuals for home ownership through a long-term program offering education, workshops, and credit counseling.
Beneva Oaks Apartments
Provides affordable, barrier-free living options for people with physical disabilities and low incomes. Residents access a wide variety of support through strategic partnerships between Goodwill and other community agencies such as the Center for Independent Living, Meals on Wheels, Senior Friendship Center, and Sarasota County Area Transit.
General Equivalency Diploma
A collaboration between the Manatee County School Board and Goodwill, the program provides GED services to adult learners at our Desoto Junction GoodNeighbor Center. Call 827-0064 for more information.
English for Speakers of Other Languages
A collaboration between the Sarasota County School Board and Goodwill, the program provides English training and access to bi-lingual GoodPartner Coaches for people with language barriers. The program is located at our vocational training facility on North Tamiami Trail.
Employment Services
Goodwill provides full- and part-time employment and vocational training opportunities to more than 450 people daily.
Goodwill Academy

The Goodwill Academy is an innovative charter school for Sarasota and Manatee County residents ages 17-21 with a developmental disability. A student must be entering grades 9 through 12 and seeking a Special Diploma Option 1 or 2 or a post graduate who has met the requirements for a Special Diploma.

The Academy curriculum combines functional academic instruction with hands-on vocational training designed to help students prepare for post-school employment, post-secondary education and independent living.

Graduates are guaranteed a first job at Goodwill or elsewhere through Goodwill Industries' First Job Commitment.
